¡Raíces: First Year and Beyond!

¡Bienvenidos! (Welcome!)

Our vision and mission are rooted in three key values; Cultura (Culture), Conocimiento (Knowledge), and Comunidad (Community).  Through developing curriculum and educational activities that affirms and honors student voices, lived experiences, and cultural histories, we aim to co-create a space where students don't just succeed—but thrive as scholars and advocates for themselves and their communities.

Regardless where in their academic journey a student may be, Raíces offers the following support and services to students:

  • Courses supported by the Raíces staff and culturally responsive professors
  • Academic Counseling and Education Planning
  • Network of Raíces Scholars
  • College Advising
  • Peer Advocacy
  • Class Registration and Time Management Assistance
  • Study Space (with Computers, Free Printing, and School Supplies)
  • Snacks, coffee, tea, and more
  • College, Cultural, Career, and Community Events throughout the academic school year
